Zanpakutou: Tora: Shikai

This is the first in my collection of Bleach- (a Japanese Anime series) -style swords called Zanpakutous. If I were a character in the series, this is what my sword would look like.

For those of you not familiar with Bleach:
A Zanpakutou is a sword with the ability to change appearance and powers proportional to the power of the owner. The unreleased sword is what it looks like when carried. When the user wishes to fight with more power, it can be "released" to Shikai form (Japanese, shi-, first, and -kai, release). If the user can become even more powerful, they achieve a Bankai (ban- meaning second), which is considered the highest attainable level of power.

My Zanpakutou is a magnetic/lightning based sword, at Shikai capable of emitting bursts of electricity, and at Bankai capable of magnetically controlling metal objects (think: Magneto from X-Men) and even illusions as a result of tampering with the visible band of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum.
